Kate Lombardi

KATE LOMBARDI serves as Senior Director of Strategy, Operations, and People for affiliate non-profit organizations Musicopia and Dancing Classrooms Philly (DCP). Musicopia and DCP focus on equitable access to arts education and enrichment. Musicopia and DCP Teaching Artists bring a diverse repertoire of music and dance into neighborhoods throughout the Philadelphia region to spark a love of the arts, encourage students’ natural artistic abilities, create lasting connections, and support a culture of health and well-being for pre-k through 12th grade students and their communities.

Kate has spent more than 15 years with these organizations expanding her knowledge and impact in roles ranging from DCP Teaching Artist, Musicopia Drumlines Manager, DCP Managing and Artistic Director, and Senior Director of Philanthropy and Community. Her unique skill set rooted in student and staff development, operational efficiencies, and a passion for bringing diverse groups together guides her work.    

Continuing to explore her dance artistry, Kate is a performing company member with Dancefusion and SHARP Dance Companies in Philadelphia, where she enjoys reconstructing historical modern dance works and exploring new choreography by local artists. Kate previously danced with Anne Marie Mulgrew, Between Movement Contemporary Dance Company, and Underground Dance Works, and she joined Jeanne Ruddy Dance for its farewell season.

Kate received her BFA from The University of the Arts and Certificates from Bryn Mawr College’s Nonprofit Executive Leadership Institute and Boston University’s Professional Fundraising program. She also completed the Arts + Business Council for Greater Philadelphia’s Designing Leadership program.
