Karen DiSanto, a native of Ontario, Canada, was excited to step into the leadership role of Executive Director (Network’s third) in June 2016, having previously served as Program Associate for three years. She is honored to work with Network’s incredibly talented and dedicated board, staff and musicians, who share her commitment to promoting the creation and performance of new music and providing hands-on educational opportunities for students to engage in this process. Her combined experience working in the non-profit sector as an arts administrator, fundraiser, musician, and educator, spans over 35 years.

In addition to her work for Network, Karen is an active free-lance clarinetist in the Philadelphia region with a passion for teaching; she received a MM degree in Clarinet Performance from Temple University as a student of Anthony Gigliotti, and has been a member of the Bay-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra (southern NJ) for over 25 years. Summer music festivals in the US and Canada have included the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, where she was an Artist-in-Residence and performed a summer season with the Banff Centre Opera Orchestra.
