Intimate, passionate, lyrical -- the surviving fragments of Sappho's poetry have moved generations of artists. Inspired by the beauty of her words, composer Bernard Rands set them to music in an exquisite work of "wonderful strangeness and mystery" (Philadelphia Inquirer). Mezzo Janice Felty joins the Network for New Music Ensemble once more for "now again" -fragments from Sappho, and other compelling music from this Pulitzer Prize-winning composer. Stay tuned for Network for New Music's upcoming CD release of Rands' music.
