Special Event: 25th Anniversary Celebration

For 25 years, Network for New Music has commissioned, performed, and presented over 550 new works, by composers as varied as music itself.  What better way to celebrate than to invite a few of those composers to write a variation on one of the most storied themes in Western classical music?

Artistic Director Linda Reichert has asked twenty-five composers to each write a variation on the simple waltz by Anton Diabelli, made famous by Beethoven in his masterful 33 variations on that theme.  These composers, all of whom have had an affectionate and fruitful relationship with Network over the years, will write one- or two-minute variations; when they're all performed together, they'll create a sparkling microcosm of the artistic voices that Network for New Music has encouraged and performed for twenty-five years.  Join us for a one-of-a-kind birthday party, with music, food, and your friends at Network!
